Here you can find some useful problem solution for SL45
I am not responsible for any damage occurred to your SL45 by following any instructions mentioned in my web site and hope this help works for you.
Display Problems:
Sometimes SL45 display text gets mixed up or the text disappears. This problem mostly occurs when your SL45 falls down. This is a common problem and can be temporary solved by pressing the side keys. Or to solve it permanently, then you have to open your SL45. Consult a technician. But this problem is fixed easily. No need of changing LCD.
Key pad button problems:
Some SL45s keys dont work very fine. You have to press it hard to use a certain key. You can solve this problem by cleaning the contacts of the keys on the board. If this doesnt solve the problem then try a new keypad.
Mic problems:
If your SL45 doesnt record voice memos very clearly or while talking to another person, he cant clearly hears you then change your mic. I think ME45's mic is better. But I dont know whether it works for SL45 or not.
Self turn OFF problems:
If your SL45 turns OFF by itself then it can be solved by following methods.
Clean the contacts of the battery with some alcohol. Also try cleaning your SL45's battery contacts. You can also try placing a piece of paper in between the battery and the back of the battery. Try changing the casing of your SL45. It can also be a software problem. It usually occurs when applying patches or self modifying software of you SL45.
Battery Indicator problems:
This is the worst problem of Siemens Sl45. This sometimes occurs by two ways i.e. Software or Hardware. If its software then this means the battery values in the Eeprom of your SL45 is incorrect. You can correct by using Siemens Sensor Tools (Software). The another is hardware. If its hardware then the charging IC of your SL45 is burning or burnt. Try changing the IC.
